mycoProfile TotalTox 9

mycoProfile TotalTox 9

Intended use

The mycoProfile TotalTox 9 is a competitive, particle-based immunoassay for the quantitative determination of the mycotoxins aflatoxins (AFL), ochratoxin A (OTA), deoxynivalenol (DON), fumonisins (FUM), zearalenone (ZEN), T-2/HT-2 toxin (T-2/HT-2), ergot alkaloids, Alternariol (AOH)/Alternariol monomethyl ether (AME) and Tenuazonic acid (TEA) in various food and feed matrices.

General information

The mycotoxins AFL, OTA, DON, FUM, ZEN, T-2/HT-2, AOH/AME, TEA and ergot alkaloids are among the most important contaminating secondary metabolites produced by fungi especially of the genera Alternaria, Aspergillus, Penicillium and Fusarium as well as of the genus Claviceps. These toxins are frequently found in cereals, animal feed and processed foods and are subject to strict legal limits worldwide. Due to their carcinogenic, cytotoxic, immunosuppressive or hormonally active properties, they pose a serious risk to human and animal health.

The mycoProfile TotalTox 9 enables rapid and reliable detection of the seven mycotoxins in a single analysis and is ideal for routine tests as part of quality assurance.
