Intended use

The mycoProfile TotalTox 6 is the further development of our Screening Kit. It is a competitive, particle-based immunoassay for the quantitative determination of the mycotoxins aflatoxins (AFL), ochratoxin A (OTA), deoxynivalenol (DON), fumonisin (FUM), zearalenone (ZEN) and T-2/HT-2 toxin (T-2/HT-2) in various food and feed matrices.

General

The mycotoxins AFL, OTA, DON, FUM, ZEN and T-2/HT-2 are among the most important contaminating secondary metabolites produced by molds - especially of the genera Aspergillus, Penicillium and Fusarium. These toxins are frequently found in cereals, animal feed and processed foods and are subject to strict legal limits worldwide. Due to their carcinogenic, cytotoxic, immunosuppressive or hormonally active properties, they pose a serious risk to human and animal health. The mycoProfile TotalTox 6 enables fast and reliable detection of all EU-regulated mycotoxins in a single analysis and is ideal for routine tests as part of quality assurance.
