Intended use

The mycoProfile Storage 2 is a competitive, particle-based immunoassay for the quantitative determination of the two Lager mycotoxins aflatoxins (AFL) and ochratoxin A (OTA) in various food and feed matrices.

General

Aflatoxins and ochratoxin A are primarily formed by Aspergillus and Penicillium species under storage conditions and therefore belong to the group of so-called storage mycotoxins. Aflatoxins are frequently found in maize, nuts, dried fruit and spices and have a high carcinogenic potential. Ochratoxin A is typically found in cereals, coffee, wine and dried products and is primarily known for its nephrotoxic and immunosuppressive effects. The mycoProfile Storage 2 enables rapid and reliable detection of the two most common storage mycotoxins in one analysis and is ideal for routine quality assurance testing.
